Mint Labs wins DemoDiscrupt, Los Angeles 

Vesna Prčkovska, CSO and Co-Founder of Mint Labs, won the competition at DemoDisrupt with her pitch. The event was organized by Catalonia Trade & Investment of Silicon Valley and 128 companies competed.

TechCrunch Disrupt SF 2016 is one of the largest entrepreneurial showcase events for disruptive technology, annually held in San Francisco. 5,000 entrepreneurs from Sillicon Valley, 400 international startups and US tech investors participated to the event.

DemoDisrupt is organized by TechCrunch, an online media platform and the organizer of Disrupt SF, and Catalonia Trade & Investment of Silicon Valley. 128 companies applied to DemoDisrupt and 15 of them were selected to join the competition at Samsung’s Silicon Valley office. Mint Labs won DemoDisrupt and had the opportunity to meet investors and potential partners from US.

Catalonia Trade & Investment and Catalonia’s agency for economic promotion have actively supported Catalan startups to create employment and stimulate the economy. Previously, Mint Labs has visited Boston to search for new business opportunities together with their agencies in April. (Biocat news).

Thanks to their agencies’ efforts, Barcelona is on the verge of becoming a popular entrepreneurial city. According to Compass and Catalonia Trade & Investment, Barcelona is the 5th Startup region in Europe, behind London, Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam.
