ANNOUNCING LEADERSHIP CHANGES AT QMENTA – NEW CEO APPOINTED AND GE HEALTHCARE VETERAN JOINS THE LEADERSHIP TEAM
Company co-founder Vesna Prchkovska appointed CEO and former Global Chief Marketing Officer for GE Healthcare Glenn Thomas appointed as Chief Commercial Officer for QMENTA as it significantly scales up commercial operations. Co-founder Landon McKenna is appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Boston, MA, January 2021 — QMENTA continues to enjoy rapid growth as it executes on our mission of solving the neurology research, clinical trials and care delivery community’s challenges of managing and analyzing complex imaging and clinical data. We are today announcing changes to the leadership of the company to support and further accelerate our growth.
Newly appointed as Chief Executive Officer and joining the select ranks of female CEOs in medtech and software companies globally is Vesna Prchkovska. Having jointly founded QMENTA 8 years ago, Vesna was most recently the Chief Operating Officer for the company. Vesna holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, a post doctorate in Neuroscience and Neuroimaging from IDIBAPS, was a Visiting Research Fellow at Harvard University, and was awarded the prestigious Marie Curie Intra European Fellowship in 2013. Vesna is a visionary entrepreneur in digital health and SaaS markets with deep expertise in image analysis and artificial intelligence, which when coupled with her operational experience makes her the ideal choice as CEO for this stage of QMENTA’s journey.
We are also fortunate to announce the newest addition to our leadership team, Glenn Thomas, who joins us as Chief Commercial Officer. Glenn was most recently the Global Chief Marketing Officer for GE Healthcare, and brings deep commercial and executive leadership expertise coupled with global industry experience in healthcare, financial services and technology sectors. Glenn will be responsible for scaling and leading all sales and marketing execution for the company, as well as partnering with the founders in setting and executing our business strategy.
Finally, Landon McKenna has been appointed as Chairman of the Board Of Directors. Landon, who for the last seven years served as President and Chief Commercial Officer, will remain President of QMENTA and will continue to manage our business operations, investor relations and will partner with Glenn Thomas to scale the commercial capabilities of the business.
